Step inside a beautifully designed family home, a four-bedroom house in Surrey where every room balances elegance with everyday practicality. We designed the full house, and with our client’s moderate budget we maximised our trade discounts to deliver more than the numbers alone would suggest.
Our lovely client opted for an in-person consultation, where one of our interior designers visited them at the property to take measurements and understand what they needed from their new home. The finished design brings together pieces chosen for the character of each space, creating a cohesive and stylish interior.
What Makes This Family Home Design Work?
Three decisions carry the whole scheme: a neutral base with colour used deliberately (the blue stools and teal bedroom furniture), gold hardware and lighting repeated room to room so the house reads as one home, and storage built into every space so family life stays tidy without effort. The Heart of the Home: Kitchen and Dining Area

The kitchen and dining area showcase a sleek design. Grey cabinetry and a light stone countertop set a sophisticated tone, while gold hardware adds a touch of elegance. Blue bar stools provide a striking contrast against the neutral palette, a textbook use of the 60-30-10 colour rule, adding energy and warmth.

The guest bedroom was designed as a calming retreat, with a soothing palette of muted greys and soft greens that instantly create a restful atmosphere. Gentle, layered lighting deepens the sense of tranquillity, while a sleek dresser and matching bedside tables provide practical storage without compromising on style. The result is a guest room that feels inviting and beautifully balanced.

A Workspace That Earns Its Keep: Office

In the office, a sleek desk and comfortable chair set the stage for productivity.
