Interior design for rentals is all about balance, creating a space that feels stylish and welcoming while standing up to daily life. For this long-term property investor client, we delivered exactly that. After completing seven projects together, this latest London rental flat was another opportunity to create something special: a clean, modern interior with long-term appeal, fully styled and ready for market.
This latest project was a full interior design service for a rental flat in London. The brief? Create a clean, modern and elegant home that photographs beautifully, appeals to premium tenants, and is fully furnished and styled, ready for market.
And that’s exactly what we delivered.
A Clear Vision, Executed Seamlessly

Our client is an experienced property investor who understands the value of design in driving rental appeal. They return to us for each new project knowing we’ll take the reins developing the concept, sourcing and purchasing everything needed, managing deliveries, and coordinating installation with our trusted team.

Because of the strong working relationship we’ve developed, there’s no lengthy back-and-forth. They trust our process, and we know what they need. That trust allowed us to move quickly and efficiently on this flat, creating a look that feels high-end, considered, and completely turn-key.
According to Property Investor Today, well-designed rental properties attract better tenants and increase occupancy rates.
The Design Board
The design is understated yet elevated. We worked with a soft, tonal palette layered with texture; bouclé, linen, brushed brass, pale wood, and clean-lined furniture. Every element was chosen to feel calm and cohesive, with nothing too trend-led or flashy. Just timeless design that enhances the property’s best features.
A Modern, Neutral Scheme with Quiet Elegance

In the living area, we installed a plush, curved sofa in a boucle fabric, paired with a pale circular coffee table, tonal rug, and sculptural accessories. The large windows were dressed in Roman blinds to soften the natural light, while the walls were treated with classic panelling to add architectural interest and a sense of permanence.
The dining space was compact but functional, designed with elegant curves and minimal fuss to keep the space open. Every finish and material was chosen to work hard without sacrificing aesthetic quality. This is a space that’s built to last, but still feels luxurious.
Kitchen and Joinery: Sleek, Simple and Functional

The kitchen, located along one wall of the open-plan space, was streamlined and bright. We kept the cabinetry simple in a soft off-white with gold handles for warmth. A black sink and matching accessories created contrast, while the marble-effect worktop tied everything together. We styled the space right down to the chopping boards and coffee machine, every detail considered.

Although compact, the kitchen is fully equipped and feels generous thanks to clever planning and clean lines. We know what works for Airbnb renters, and this layout gives both style and functionality without wasting a single inch.
A Restful Bedroom with Boutique Comfort

The second bedroom continues the neutral scheme, with crisp white bedding, soft grey and taupe accents, and a padded headboard to create a hotel-style feel. A bench at the foot of the bed adds a tailored touch, while abstract wall art brings in subtle colour and movement. It’s a quiet, calm retreat that balances comfort with elegance.
Storage was integrated discreetly, and bedside tables were kept minimal but practical; perfect for a rental property where simplicity and durability are key.
Project Managed from Start to Finish

As with our full interior design service by HD Bespoke Studio, we handled everything behind the scenes. We sourced and ordered all the furniture, lighting, soft furnishings, tableware and décor. We coordinated delivery logistics and timed everything for a smooth installation day. We also liaised with the installation team to ensure all items were assembled correctly, placed as planned, and styled to our standard.

This level of project coordination is what makes our investor clients come back again and again. They know that once we’re on board, the job will be done properly with no last-minute surprises or loose ends.
Why Interior Design for Rentals Increases Market Value

Designing a rental property isn’t just about looks; it’s about strategy. A beautifully designed home will attract better tenants, stand out in listings, and command a higher rental income. That’s the power of good design.
We’ve seen the impact of this time and time again across our client’s portfolio. And it’s not just the furnishings, it’s the flow of the space, the lighting choices, the textures and finishes, and the way the property is presented. All of this adds perceived value and makes a property far more desirable.
