A Modern Luxe Bedroom for a First-Time Buyer in Putney

Our client, a young professional buying her first home in Putney, came with a clear brief: luxurious, calm and grown-up, but still within budget. Working across mood board, elevation drawings and final 3D visuals, we delivered a bedroom design that met every part of that brief without compromise.

Design Direction and Mood Board

The mood board was built around a palette of olive green, warm neutrals and ivory. A vertical channelled headboard in deep green velvet anchors the scheme with quiet confidence, while sculptural bedside tables in a creamy lacquered finish echo the custom media unit on the opposite wall. The material story is cohesive from the first piece to the last.

Wall Panelling and Elevation Design

A classic panelling layout behind the bed was developed as part of our technical CAD elevation service, providing the detail needed to guide fit-out and lighting placement. Symmetrically placed mirrors, bedside lamps and picture lights create a composed, hotel-quality finish around the bed that reads as considered rather than decorated.

Layout Planning for Flow and Natural Light

The layout was planned around symmetry, flow and light. Positioning the TV and console on the opposite wall freed up the window bay for a dedicated dressing area, making the most of the natural light at that end of the room. Every zone has a purpose and the overall feel remains spacious and uncluttered.

The Finished Result

The completed bedroom is warm, calm and entirely coherent. Each piece, from the abstract artwork to the custom vanity and velvet chair, reflects the client’s personality while sitting comfortably within a timeless, curated whole. Exactly what she asked for.
