A Boutique Airbnb Bedroom Designed for Edinburgh’s Short-Let Market
This Airbnb bedroom in Edinburgh was designed for a property investor looking to elevate their short-let portfolio with a space that would stand out in a competitive market. The brief was clear: boutique hotel quality, guest-ready functionality, and a look distinctive enough to drive bookings.
The design centres on a calm, luxurious palette that communicates quality immediately on arrival. Every selection was made with both visual appeal and the practicalities of regular guest turnover in mind.
The Design Board
The design board established the visual language of the scheme from the outset, bringing together a sculptural green armchair, fluted white wardrobe, layered soft textiles and statement lighting into a single cohesive reference. The mood balances modern edge with classic elegance, producing a finish that reads as considered rather than generic.
A fluted velvet bed anchors the room as the defining piece, complemented by modern globe lighting, textured cushions and a quilted throw that add depth and comfort. Feature wall panelling introduces architectural detail without requiring structural change, while a floating vanity with a halo mirror delivers both practicality and visual interest for guests.
Artwork and soft furnishings were selected to complete the guest experience rather than simply fill the room. The result is a bedroom that photographs well, stays well, and performs as a commercial asset within Edinburgh’s short-let market.
