A Boutique Hotel Bedroom Rooted in Quiet Luxury
This bedroom project was guided by one clear ambition: to recreate the considered calm of a high-end boutique hotel within a private home. The brief called for drama without excess, and the deep burgundy upholstered headboard became the natural anchor point for the entire scheme.
The headboard’s rich tone sets an immediate sense of intimacy. Rather than softening it, the design leans in, building outward with layered bedding in complementary neutrals and patterned cushions that add texture without visual noise. Matching bedside lamps sit in perfect symmetry on either side, a detail that reinforces the tailored, hotel-inspired finish.
Contrast Through the Vanity Area
A dedicated vanity area introduces a considered moment of contrast. The plush green accent chair cuts cleanly against the warmer tones of the room, giving the space a second focal point without competing with the headboard. It is the kind of detail that reads as intentional rather than decorative.
Warm Wood and Curated Artwork
Warm wood finishes ground the palette and bring an organic quality to what might otherwise feel like a cooler, more formal scheme. Curated artwork completes the room, selected to echo the colour story rather than simply fill wall space. The result is a bedroom that feels designed rather than dressed.
