A Luxury Cloakroom Designed with Marble, Brass and Dark Wall Panelling
This cloakroom project demonstrates what is possible when a small space is treated with the same level of intention as a principal room. Dark wall panelling brings immediate depth and drama, while the soft ambient lighting draws attention to the contrast between materials and creates a sense of warmth that belies the compact footprint.
A sculptural marble basin serves as the centrepiece, its form doing as much work aesthetically as it does practically. Brushed brass fixtures and fittings thread warmth through the scheme and complement the cooler marble tones with precision. Wall-mounted fixtures and clean lines keep the layout uncluttered, ensuring the richness of the materials reads clearly rather than competing for attention.
Layout, 3D Visual and Technical Planning
The layout was resolved in detail before a single fixture was specified. Wall-mounted toilet placement, mirror positioning and the lighting arrangement were all mapped out to ensure the finished space felt balanced and well-proportioned rather than squeezed. The 3D visualisation allowed the design vision to be tested and refined ahead of installation, translating intent into a practical, harmonious composition. For anyone who has dismissed a small WC as unworthy of considered design, this project makes a compelling counter-argument.
