Exterior Design for a Traditional-Modern Renovation in Hertfordshire

This exterior project involved developing a full visual scheme for a new build home before construction began. Using our 3D exterior design service, the client was able to explore material combinations and architectural details with genuine clarity, making confident decisions at the design stage rather than during the build.

The façade combines characterful heritage brick with soft Vanilla White cladding, striking a balance between timeless charm and contemporary refinement. At the rear, a soft render unifies the extension and existing structure, modernising the elevation while sitting naturally against the surrounding garden. Chimney stacks were painted in a matching tone to maintain visual harmony throughout, and dark brown aluminium flush casement windows with slim profiles sharpen the architectural lines across both elevations.

Every element, from the clay tiled roof to the oak-effect finishes, was reviewed across multiple combinations through the design process. That level of iteration before build avoids costly revisions later and ensures the finished home reflects exactly what the client envisioned from the outset.
