A Serene Principal Bedroom Built Around Sage Green and Soft Texture
This principal bedroom design was shaped by a desire for calm without coldness. A balanced palette of neutrals and sage green forms the foundation, with every material and furnishing choice reinforcing the restful quality the brief called for.
The focal point is a curved upholstered bed with a bouclé headboard, combining visual softness with genuine comfort. Crisp white bedding is grounded by earth-toned cushions in moss green and warm rust, adding warmth and considered contrast without disrupting the overall serenity of the palette.
Fluted bedside tables and sculptural lamps frame the bed with symmetry and quiet elegance. Tonal curtains and a soft area rug carry the warmth through the rest of the room, while abstract artwork above the bed featuring gold and green geometric forms draws the colour story together and gives the space a clear sense of intention.
The Design Board
The design board established the visual language for the room from the outset, bringing together the bouclé bed, fluted cabinetry, a round wall-mounted vanity and abstract artwork into a single cohesive reference. Soft green is used as a recurring accent throughout, balanced against warm neutrals and off-whites. An olive green velvet ottoman, contemporary lighting and gold detailing complete the layered look: elegant, calming and entirely suited to a principal bedroom retreat.
