A Sustainable Garden Design with Privacy Screens and Defined Outdoor Zones
This project centred on a brief with two clear priorities: sustainability and privacy. The client wanted an eco-friendly garden that would feel like a genuine retreat, with distinct zones for relaxation and entertaining and a planting scheme that would look good year-round without demanding constant upkeep.
Sustainable Design and Planting
Eco-friendly materials were specified throughout, and the planting scheme was built around native, low-maintenance and drought-resistant species that support local wildlife while reducing water consumption. A mix of evergreens, flowering shrubs and perennials ensures year-round interest and colour without the maintenance demands of a more intensive planting approach.
Privacy Screens
Stylish privacy screens provide the seclusion the client needed while contributing positively to the overall aesthetic. The intricate patterns cast shadows that add depth and movement to the space throughout the day, turning a practical necessity into a genuine design feature.
Pergola and Zones
A chic pergola anchors the garden as its focal point, providing a shaded area that works equally well for dining and quiet relaxation. Distinct zones radiate from this central structure, each tailored to a specific use and flowing naturally into the next. The zoning gives the garden versatility without fragmentation, making the space feel generous and coherent rather than divided.
