Alysia graduated with a degree in Interior Architecture and Design from the University for the Creative Arts and has spent ten years working across residential and commercial interior design projects. Her specialism is spatial planning — the discipline of making rooms work properly before any furniture is chosen or any material is specified. A room that is arranged correctly around how people actually use it is the foundation of everything else.
She joined House Designer six years ago and now leads the interior design studio, working across a wide range of projects from single-room redesigns through to full multi-room commissions. Her background spans both residential and commercial interiors, which gives her a technical rigour and an understanding of how spaces function under real-world pressure that purely residential designers often lack.
