Our client wanted a cosy, modern living space that made the most of natural light and allowed an easy flow between the living room, dining area and kitchen. The challenge was to make the most of a small footprint while keeping the design open and inviting, a common request for compact apartments. Keeping sightlines clear and the layout uninterrupted is one of the most reliable ways to make a small room feel bigger.
The Living Room

The living room is the heart of this design. We chose a grey sectional sofa that offers plenty of seating while keeping a sleek, modern look, ideal for a small living room. The sofa is dressed with patterned cushions in grey and teal, adding texture and colour.
A round wooden coffee table anchors the seating area and gives a practical surface for drinks and decor. A large potted plant brings in a natural element and freshens the room, while the light grey walls and large windows keep the space bright and airy. An abstract painting adds a splash of colour and interest.
