A Dining Room Designed as Part of a Full House Project
This dining space was delivered as part of a whole-house project, where continuity across rooms was as important as the individual design of each one. The brief called for a space that could hold its own for everyday family use while feeling considered enough for entertaining.
The Design Board
The design board centres on a large modular sofa in soft grey, offering flexibility of arrangement alongside generous seating. A golden armchair introduces warmth and a deliberate accent of colour, giving the open-plan layout a focal point that reads as both comfortable and refined.
Natural Textures and Material Choices
A large woven rug grounds the space and introduces tactile warmth underfoot. The dining table was selected for its clean lines and natural wood finish, ensuring it sits comfortably within the open-plan scheme rather than competing with it. Dining chairs upholstered in a velvety brown fabric add comfort and a quiet layer of elegance to the eating area.
Storage Within the Design
A sleek shelving unit was incorporated to handle decorative display and everyday storage without interrupting the visual flow of the room. In open-plan living, storage that integrates cleanly into the wider scheme is rarely optional.
